The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth across various market sectors, including landlord and developer projects, tenant fit-outs, flexible and co-working environments, life sciences, and hospitality. You will be part of a high-performing team dedicated to delivering intelligent AV solutions that enhance user experience and support broader smart building strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy and Business Development: Lead the AV sales strategy, identifying and securing new business across defined market sectors. Develop structured sales plans to support long-term revenue generation.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance and positioning tailored AV solutions that meet specific business needs. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Project Support: Work closely with internal AV and Smart Building specialists to support the design, delivery, and assurance of AV packages within integrated project scopes.
- Market and Industry Engagement: Maintain a strong presence within the AV and Smart Buildings industry by attending relevant events and staying informed of market trends.
- Performance and Reporting: Take ownership of sales performance, setting and achieving defined revenue, margin, and expense targets.
Skills and Experience
- Proven success in AV and smart technology sales, with extensive experience in managing key client accounts.
- Comprehensive understanding of AV systems, IPTV, integrated IT/AV solutions, and Fibre Integrated Reception Systems (FIRS).
- Strong commercial understanding of AV control and signal distribution platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Kramer, AMX, and Atlona.
- Familiarity with SDVoE technologies and experience with DSP and audio platforms including Biamp, Bose, and Yamaha.
- Fluency in video conferencing and collaboration technologies, including Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco Webex, and Poly/HP.
- Experience in media distribution, IPTV, and digital signage platforms such as Tripleplay, Exterity, BrightSign, and Datapath
