Procurement & Vendor Manager
We're looking for a commercially sharp Procurement & Vendor Manager to take ownership of sourcing and supply chain for a global AV solutions provider.
Our client is an established name in the Audio Visual and Systems Integration industry, with over 35 years of experience delivering trendsetting technology solutions across Europe. They support enterprise and global customers with consistent, high-quality project delivery worldwide. A new role is available for an experienced procurement professional to lead sourcing and vendor management for their UK operation.
The Role
Sitting within the Commercial function and reporting to the Managing Director, this role owns the end-to-end procurement lifecycle — from supplier selection and commercial negotiation through to order fulfilment, logistics coordination and invoice approval. You'll work closely with Project Managers, engineering, warehouse and finance teams to ensure AV equipment, technology and subcontract services are sourced on time, within budget and to the standard projects demand. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who enjoys building supplier relationships as much as tightening up process.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Purchasing: Manage day-to-day procurement of AV equipment, infrastructure, software, accessories and subcontract services in line with project programmes.
Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributors, securing competitive pricing, favourable terms and reliable supply chain performance.
Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate pricing agreements, rebates, lead times and supplier contracts to protect margin and support profitability.
Process & Compliance: Review and approve purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, and maintain accurate procurement records across ERP and finance systems.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with warehouse, logistics and finance teams to coordinate deliveries, stock and invoice reconciliation across multiple live projects.
Reporting & Leadership: Produce spend and supplier performance reports for senior management, and provide guidance to procurement/purchasing administrators.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Proven track record as a Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer or Supply Chain Manager, ideally within Audio Visual, Technology Integration, Electrical, Construction or Engineering.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with AV equipment manufacturers and technology supply chains — professional audio, video, networking, control systems, LED displays and conferencing tech — is highly advantageous.
Commercial Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical and cost management skills, with confidence managing supplier contracts and commercial relationships.
Systems: Comfortable working across ERP, procurement and finance platforms.
Personal Style: Highly organised, proactive, and able to juggle multiple projects and shifting deadlines without losing attention to detail.
