Senior CAD Engineer

As a Senior CAD Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering complex technical projects that have a real impact on end users around the world.
THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team where you'll take ownership of technical design work from concept through to completion. You'll be involved in a variety of challenging projects, producing detailed design documentation while ensuring all deliverables meet industry standards, client requirements and project specifications.
Alongside your technical expertise, you'll provide guidance and support to junior team members, helping to maintain quality and consistency across projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Produce high-quality 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models.

Develop detailed technical documentation and design packages.

Support and mentor junior CAD technicians and engineers.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Attend site visits and surveys when required.

Identify and resolve technical and design challenges.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of CAD and BIM standards.

Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving technical challenges and working across multiple projects.
You'll ideally have:

Previous experience in a CAD-based role within engineering, construction or manufacturing.

Strong AutoCAD 2D and 3D skills.

Experience creating and managing AutoCAD blocks.

A solid understanding of technical drawing standards and design processes.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

A proactive approach and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
DESIRABLE SKILLS

Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, SolidWorks or other 3D modelling software.

Knowledge of BIM processes and standards.

Understanding of CDM 2015 and ISO 19650.
