Join a leading workplace technology and AV systems integrator as a Technical Bid Manager to design, deliver and maintain AV spaces.

The company is a leading systems integrator and workplace technology specialist.  The team is expanding and we are seeking a Technical Bid Designer to be a crucial part of our mission to design, deliver, and maintain flawless AV spaces. This role offers a chance to work closely with a dynamic team that values real results.

The Role

As a Technical Bid Designer, you will be integral to our bid submissions and technical designs for fit-out and consultant-led projects. Your expertise will transform scopes of work and floor plans into precise technical designs, ensuring our bids are well-structured, properly costed, and on-brand. Collaborating with the Bid Manager, project, engineering, and commercial teams, you will help produce standout documents that win us the work we excel at.

What You'll Be Doing

Key responsibilities include producing technical designs from client scopes, marking up floor plans, creating room layouts, schematics, and equipment positioning. You will also compile, format, and quality-check bid documents, interpret tender specifications, and build accurate Bills of Materials. Maintaining consistency with our brand guidelines and managing multiple live bids without compromising quality is essential.

What We're Looking For

Candidates must have experience in producing technical drawings and floor-plan layouts, ideally in AV, IT, M&E, fit-out, or related disciplines. Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drawings, strong Microsoft Office skills, and confidence in using Bluebeam (or equivalent) for PDF mark-up and collaboration are required. The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, scope documents, and consultant specifications is crucial. Strong written communication skills and the ability to work well with sales, engineering, and commercial colleagues are also necessary. Desirable skills include experience with consultant-led tenders, exposure to AV, UC, or workplace-technology environments, and familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, or Adobe InDesign.
