A leading technology consultancy, renowned for its bespoke AV design and build and smart building technology, seeks a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team.

Join a leading systems integrator in a growth phase, driven by a consultancy-first approach that prioritises lasting partnerships over one-off transactions.

The Role

The role of Business Development Manager is pivotal in driving new business growth across key sectors. This full-time hybrid position spans the West Midlands to London, offering the flexibility to work from home or Head Office. The role demands a proactive individual who can identify new opportunities, build and nurture relationships, develop and manage a pipeline, and collaborate with internal teams to design tailored solutions for each partner’s needs.  In this role, you will have the autonomy to manage your own pipeline and be self-directed in achieving your targets. As the initial point of contact, you will create relationships that the rest of the business will build upon.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities include upholding company values of positivity, empathy, and innovation in every partner interaction. You will proactively identify and engage new opportunities through networking, cold outreach, and industry partnerships. Managing a pipeline from initial contact to contract close and handover is crucial. Leading RFI and RFP responses, coordinating with pre-sales and commissioning teams, and delivering compelling, technically credible proposals are essential aspects of the role.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of proven sales success within the UK audio visual integration or unified communications market. A strong understanding of core AV technologies and platform ecosystems, exceptional presentation skills, and an existing network within the M&E, fit-out, or B2B community are highly desirable. Strong HubSpot discipline and a full UK driving licence with a willingness to travel are essential.  Compensation includes a base salary plus commission, full reimbursement for mileage, rail travel, and client entertainment, along with a laptop and mobile phone.  The company is a 30-person business in a growth phase, operating on a consultancy-first model, with a reputation built on quality work and strong relationships.
