Bid Manager

About The Role

This is not your average Bid Manager position. Alongside managing an assigned team of bid professionals, you'll personally lead the most strategic and high-value RFP responses the business takes on managing the full bid lifecycle from kick-off through to submission.

Crucially, this is also a technical role. You'll be shaping technology solutions for Design and Build projects, engaging directly with manufacturers, clients and consultants, and building the commercial models, Bill of Materials, hardware pricing and labour allocations that underpin competitive bids. You'll need both the strategic outlook to develop a winning bid strategy and the technical depth to validate what you're proposing.

What you will be doing 

•      Managing the end-to-end bid process for large and complex RFPs across the Workplace Division in EMEA

•      Developing and implementing bid strategies aligned to business objectives and client needs

•      Overseeing technical solution development and ensuring compliance with RFP requirements

•      Building AV Bill of Materials, hardware pricing and labour cost allocations

•      Managing and mentoring your assigned bid team — tracking progress, quality control and deadlines

•      Collaborating with sales, engineering, finance and legal stakeholders to produce compelling bids

•      Engaging directly with clients, consultants and partners to position the business as a trusted partner

•      Identifying bid risks and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies

•      Driving continuous improvement of bid processes based on lessons learned

This is a home-based role with occasional travel to client sites and the company head office in Surrey
