The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a leading provider of modern workspace and audio visual collaboration solutions. This organization is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their UK Sales team to reach and exceed targeted sales revenue and gross margin goals. This is an ideal role for a professional who enjoys building profitable relationships with Corporate and Enterprise customers within a fast paced industry.
The Role
In this position, you will take a lead role in driving new business and implementing strategies to secure long term revenue. You will work within an integrated team to identify opportunities and increase the uptake of managed services and support agreements.
Your daily responsibilities include:
- Strategy and Growth: Planning and executing sales strategies in collaboration with the Operations and Engineering Product teams.
- New Business Development: Identifying new business sales and growing existing accounts while maintaining a focus on financial targets.
- Client Engagement: Representing the company at industry events and conferences to present value propositions to potential clients.
- Onboarding: Implementing client onboarding processes and assisting with invoicing and collections tasks.
- Market Insight: Providing feedback to the Marketing team to ensure the delivery of relevant materials for the business.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommending product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and future sales potential.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales and a proactive approach to business development. We are looking for:
- Relevant Experience: Success in sales and business development within a related industry.
- Communication Skills: The ability to speak confidently in both public and private settings to people at all levels.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with modern workspace, AV, and Unified Communications concepts and procedures.
- Resilience: The ability to handle customer rejection with patience and respond professionally to client challenges.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills and an ability to work independently while being self motivated.
