Role Overview:

In this pivotal role within the presales and preconstruction department, you will manage and lead the design and costing of smart building solutions. Your responsibilities will span from initial enquiry to bid submission and pre-construction activities, ensuring compliance with client requirements and smooth project handovers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to bid proposals and pre-construction designs.
• Manage allocated enquiries from tender documentation to project award.
• Communicate effectively with sales, operations, and technology departments.
• Represent the company in client meetings, site surveys, and presentations.
• Prepare cost models and design smart building solutions that meet industry standards and client needs.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience in designing, estimating, and tendering smart building solutions.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and general ICT skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of smart building technologies, including IoT, ICT cabling, LAN/WiFi networks, and electronic security.
• Qualifications: - Minimum five A-C (4-9) GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English.
• Valid DBS Check.
• Accreditations or certifications with recognised manufacturers or specific training.

Desirable: -

• Degree-level education or equivalent.
• Understanding of WiredScore and SmartScore certification processes.
• Awareness of Building Information Modelling & CAD solutions.
• APMP Foundation Certification.
