Our service engineers play a critical role in maintaining client confidence by delivering fast, professional, and effective technical support. This role suits someone who enjoys troubleshooting, learning new technologies, and staying calm under pressure while solving real-world technical problems.
Key Responsibilities
The AV Field Service Engineer will typically be responsible for:

Providing on-site and remote AV and VC support to clients, primarily across London with occasional UK and European travel.

Responding to incidents via phone, email, video conferencing, and remote access tools.

Supporting delivery of contractual service levels, including response and resolution times.

Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across AV and collaboration platforms including (but not limited to):

Control systems
-
Audio DSP and networking
-
Video conferencing platforms
-
Room control and collaboration tools
-

Developing strong product and technology knowledge and applying this in the field.

Delivering ad-hoc end-user training to ensure correct system usage.

Producing and maintaining accurate service and commissioning documentation.

Performing scheduled preventative maintenance visits and recording findings.

Identifying opportunities for system improvements, upgrades, or additional works and communicating these internally.

Supporting continuous improvement of service processes.
Working With the Wider Team

Collaborating closely with engineering, commissioning, logistics, sales, and service teams.

Using company systems for ticketing, CRM, reporting, and collaboration.

Supporting handover from installation and commissioning teams.

Assisting and mentoring junior engineers.

Coordinating equipment, spares, returns, and replacements with logistics teams.

Working with administrative and HR teams regarding welfare, training, and performance.
