An exciting senior role awaits an experienced communications/marketing professional with a strong network in the AV sector. This position, reporting directly to the Managing Director, involves leading and growing a business unit, combining client leadership, commercial growth, and team development. The ideal candidate will be based in the UK, Europe, or North America.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

-Client Leadership and Satisfaction- Lead the client portfolio, ensuring exceptional satisfaction and measurable results.

- Provide strategic direction and act as the senior point of escalation.

- Mentor account teams, advising on strategies and best practices.

- Maintain regular check-ins with account leads to review client health and growth opportunities.

- Oversee KPI setting and tracking, ensuring retention targets are met.

- Gather and act on client feedback to embed continuous improvement plans

.- Ensure a high client experience by delivering ‘moments of delight’.

- Lead client onboarding for seamless transitions.

 

Commercial Growth

- Drive new business growth, supported by commercial and marketing teams.

- Deliver quarterly and annual leads and new business revenue targets.

- Attend conferences and events to generate leads.

- Develop, send, and follow up on proposals.

- Lead pitches and maximise upsell opportunities.

- Nurture lapsed accounts.

 

Events and Conferences

- Attend domestic and international events, enhancing the agency's visibility and reputation.

- Maintain a global calendar of trade shows and conferences.

- Oversee end-to-end planning for events, ensuring smooth delivery.

- Ensure clients receive timely trade show support and arrange high-value meetings.

 

Market Knowledge

- Maintain expert-level understanding of the AV sector.

- Deliver strategic counsel based on current trends and competitor analysis.

- Represent the agency as a sector thought leader through public speaking and industry commentary.

- Collaborate with the leadership team to share insights and align strategies.

 

Reporting and Accountability

- Provide regular reporting on client health, pipeline, and business unit performance.

- Attend and contribute to management and strategy meetings.

 

Candidate Specifications

- Minimum of seven years’ experience in B2B communications, marketing, or PR within the AV sector.

- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of converting new business.

- Established and relevant industry network.

- Advanced client relationship management and negotiation skills.

- Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing teams.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business plans.

- Communicate with authority and clarity, building trust and influence with stakeholders.
