System Design Engineer
An Award winning company expanding it's System Design Engineering team, working with some of the biggest brands such as Nestle, Coca Cola, Disney, Volvo, and many more!
You will be part of the EMEA organization and work remotely with the team from Montreal and the USA. Working in the EMEA Professional Services group, the candidate will be supporting the project team with various AV engineering related activities (both on site and remotely) including pre-sales discussions and documentation, physical hardware installation, software and hardware configuration and ongoing updates and amendments to active client deployments.
This role will require international travel up to 50% of the standard working year.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the EMEA Professional Services group in the pre-sales phase. This will include:
• Site surveys / inspections
• Documentation of all design, network, control, and structural aspects and creation of project SoW’s and LoE’s
• Design and create detailed implementation and signal flow diagrams
Operate alongside other members of the EMEA Professional Services group in the project phase. This will include numerous activities including:
• Preparation of risk assessment, method statements and other project documentation
• Planning and logistics for onsite attendance with deployment partners or clients
• Setup, amendment and fine tuning of room configurations
A Successful Candidate will have:
• AV SW and HW components background/skills to be able to support the growing needs to handle the SW deployment / configuration, HW architecture, design and on-site deployment of our products
• Hands-on project coordination experience in deploying IT software solutions
• Ability to assist in troubleshooting issues with integrated IT product solutions (HW and SW)
• Understanding of digital communication/signage, and its application requirements is preferred
• Knowledge of web protocols and technologies (REST, JSON, web sockets, web rpc) is preferred
